Adoption Applications

Thank you for your interest in our pets!

As a small private all volunteer rescue our foster parents take these animals into their homes and spend much time evaluating them and helping them to be good companion pets. We take the placement of our dogs very seriously and want to make sure it is the right home for them. As such our application process takes from 5 to 10 days.

If you are interested in adopting one of our pets you will need to fill out an application. You can either download, fill out, and email or fax one to us or you can fill one out at one of our showcases.  You can also call us at 990-3647 to fill out an application over the phone.

After we get your application we will be reviewing it and contacting your veterinarian reference, and if needed your grooming reference. We will check for comprehensive vet care on your pets and will be asking your vet if your past/present pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and examinations, have any other medical issues taken care of and most importantly we will be asking proof of purchase of year round heartworm prevention. We feel that heartworm prevention is a very important part of your dogs health care.

We will ABSOLUTELY do a home visit to look at your fence to make sure it is adequate for the pet chosen, and to see the interaction between any resident pets and the possible adoptee. In almost every adoption we require a fenced yard and we do not accept underground fences.

There is a $75 fee to adopt a Cat and an $100 fee to adopt a Dog from PALS Animal Rescue.
